We host fun tournaments a few time a year and would like to change up the mix. WHat we would like to find is two pools one men one women and have them play mixed with different partners and opponents each game. There would be 6 games (2 .5 hour window) with 24 of each men and women 48 players playing on 6 courts. Is there a format to mix this up .

This is such a cool idea! We don’t have an immediate idea as to how to organize it but we’ll keep thinking about it. Perhaps one of the other readers can comment as well? Six games is perfect for a 2.5 window but of course 48 people is twice the number you would usually have on six courts, right? So there’s lots of down-time which could be a negative. Another approach once we solve the 48 people across six courts, mixed changing opponents and players ever game issue, would be to run 7-point games. Theoretically you could come close to completing a larger number of games and maybe get the majority in for six games. Wish we could help more directly. Let us know what your solution is, OK?

I am interested in pickleball round-robin schedules for combinations other than the ones already published by pickleball.wiz. For example, 18 people playing 10 games on 3 courts. Can anyone get me in touch with somebody who has access to the mathematical/programmable algorithms that calculate these schedules?

Sorry, no info on that. Let us know if you find it. Thanks.

What a wonderful site! I haven’t had time to explore all the different pages yet, but I’m sure it will be extremely helpful to me and our fledgling club as we go forward with trying to get more courts built in our small (pop. 138) town of Donnelly, Idaho. I’ll be in touch as we work toward similar goals of promoting pickleball. Would it be ok for me to share your site with our membership of about 65 players?
